Course description

This training will focus on equipping course participants with strategies and tools to support those being bullied, and to intervene and advise those who are bullying others.

Important note: It is essential that you have undertaken the Safeguarding Children e-learning prior to coming on this course (see additional information under full details), or you may be turned away.

Training objectives
Learning outcomes
At the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • recognise bullying as a safeguarding concern

  • understand the impact of bullying on well-being

  • define bullying behaviour  

  • identify strategies for responding to bullying behaviour.

A maximum of three representatives from each team may have a confirmed place and further bookings will be put on a wait list.

Preparation and Follow Up
Before attending any LSCB training course, participants must attend a Basic Signs and Indicators Child Protection course provided/commissioned by their own organisation or have accessed the Safeguarding Children online e-learning training course. To complete this course go to the e-learning section on the East Sussex Learning Portal, enter the Children’s Workforce channel and click Safeguarding.

Refreshments are provided however lunch is not.
