To enable participants to explore effective inter-agency working in Child Protection Conferences and Core Groups.
By the end of the course, participants will understand how to:
explore the purpose and functions of Child Protection Conferences and Core Groups
understand their professional and statutory function in relation to preparation and attendance at such meetings
develop Child Protection plans
look at parental behaviour and professional practice.
A maximum of three representatives from each team may have a confirmed place and further bookings will be put on a wait list.
PREPARATION AND FOLLOW UP
Before attending any ESSCP training course, participants must attend a Basic Signs and Indicators Child Protection course provided/commissioned by their own organisation or have accessed the Safeguarding Children online e-learning training course. To complete this course go to the e-learning section on the East Sussex Learning Portal, enter the Children’s Workforce channel and click Safeguarding.
REFRESHMENTS are provided however lunch is NOT provided.
