This workshop aims to give participants a better understanding of the effects of stress; physically, emotionally and behaviourally. It also looks at your awareness of your own stress symptoms, identifying what aspects can be changed, and assists you in building on your personal coping strategies.
By the end of the programme participants will:
understand what is meant by stress
have a clearer understanding of the causes of stress in their lives and its physical / behavioural effects on them
have the opportunity to apply a model of stress management to their own situations, and build on their coping mechanisms
learn and practice tension release and relaxation skills that they can employ in the workplace
