This free training session provides an overview of how to use key functionality available in the online education performance data systems Perspective Lite and FFT Aspire which are included as part of DS01 - Comprehensive Key Stage Data Package - including access to FFT Aspire. The training aims to increase user confidence with the systems allowing you to produce the data your school or academy requires when you need it. A free place is available for one member of staff (Senior Leadership) for all schools and academies who have purchased DS01 from Service to Schools. The sessions are being run by experienced data analysts from the East Sussex Data Service for Schools.

Training objectives

The objectives of the two hour training session are to enable you to navigate around Perspective Lite and FFT Aspire. Key functionality will be demonstrated and explained. For Perspective Lite this will include finding LA Documents, Running your own Reports (Nova) by selecting your own parameters and using the new Analysis (Insight) module which visualises and verbalises your data. For FFT Aspire this will include how to produce estimate benchmarks for your pupils as well as how to run self evaluation reports.

Learning outcomes

"By the end of the course you will be able to do the following. In Perspective Lite - find LA reports, run your own Reports (Nova) using different parameters, use Analysis (Insight) with confidence. In FFT Aspire - understand FFT estimate benchmarks and how to use the system to set your own targets, run self evaluation reports."
