Public sector organisations have a responsibility under law to provide services and support their community and workforce in a way that drives forward equality and inclusion.
Employees must develop an awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion to help them meet the needs of a diverse customer base and workforce, they need to be clear about best practice, and make their own commitment to this agenda within their roles.
This programme aims to provide a general and comprehensive training for staff across the Council that ensures a good understanding of their responsibilities for equality.
All delegates must have completed the Equality and Diversity e-learning session prior to attending this course.
This training course has an emphasis on working with staff, partners and customers in an inclusive way. It is suitable for managers, commissioners and aspiring managers.
