This workshop is appropriate for anyone wanting to understand more about the context for child and adolescent to parent abuse (CAPA) and to look at ways of working with families experiencing this issue. There is a growing acknowledgement that CAPA is potentially more widespread than the available statistics and research studies have suggested. Anecdotal evidence in East Sussex also suggests that professionals are seeing more families where this is an issue. This workshop is therefore designed to include both a theoretical overview and an opportunity to practice using resources.
Please note this course used to be called 'LSCB: Young People using Violence and aggression towards their parents'.
Important note: It is essential that you have undertaken the Safeguarding Children e-learning prior to coming on this course (see additional information under full details), or you may be turned away.
