On this course participants will look at methods to effectively manage the process of an allegation against a colleague or themselves.
This training is only aimed at Early Years professionals who will be directly involved in The Managing Allegations process and who have a relevant need to investigate. For example all Designated Safeguarding Leads ( DSLs) that would be responsible for managing allegations – it could also be relevant for owners and committee representatives responsible for oversight of an Early Years setting, and childminders.
Important note: It is essential that you have undertaken the Safeguarding Children e-learning prior to coming on this course or an equivalent Safeguarding course (see additional information under full details), or you may be turned away.
A maximum of three representatives from each team may have a confirmed place and further bookings will be put on a wait list.
Preparation and Follow Up
Before attending any LSCB training course, participants must attend a Basic Signs and Indicators Child Protection course provided/commissioned by their own organisation or have accessed the Safeguarding Children online e-learning training course. To complete this course go to the e-learning section on the East Sussex Learning Portal, enter the Children’s Workforce channel and click Safeguarding.
Refreshments are provided however lunch is not.
