This webinar aims to support teachers to make effective and accurate ongoing assessments of reading in Key Stage 2.

We will unpick the reading strands in detail and share top tips on how to prepare pupils for the rigors of the national curriculum test.

We will also be exploring how to explicitly teach reading skills, how to identify and address gaps, and how to move pupils forward in their reading, ensuring the best possible outcomes by the end of the key stage.

NOTE: Although this webinar is primarily aimed at teachers in years 5 and 6, teachers in years 3 and 4 will also find it useful. The webinar is suitable for teachers at all levels of experience.

Code: LSC679 ESSCP: Gangs, Youth Violence, Knives and Criminal Exploitation Awareness Training (Virtual) (Cancelled)

This Zoom course replaces one of the postponed  March 2020 sessions. It is now a full half day course running from 9.30 a.m. to 15.30 p.m. The first Pilot course in August was free but all usual charges now apply.

This course will address gang crime and youth violence. This has been identified as a national priority and this course will enable frontline staff and those working with children and young people to identify individuals at risk of gang involvement and to provide timely support and interventions to support them.

This course will be delivered by Exemplary Safeguarding C.I.C, a ‘not for profit’ organisation established to provide effective help and support to vulnerable young people and adults. The sessions are relevant for colleagues who work with children and young people as well as vulnerable adults

It is essential that you have undertaken the Safeguarding Children (or an equivalent Safeguarding/ Child Protection Awareness course within your own organisation, and Child Sexual Exploitation e-learning courses prior to coming on this course, see additional information under full details), or you may be turned away.
