Code: ESC/19/67 Introduction to Management

Getting the job done through effective team management, new managers are often responsible for the first time for the management of other people. This new role therefore needs new skills and knowledge. This course is designed to give this basic understanding and some of the required skills so that new managers can thrive from the start.

New ESCC managers should also attend the Induction for ESCC Managers course and the ESCC Managers HR Brief Bites.

There will be some pre-course work (which is attached) to:

  • acquire manager commitment
  • help delegates to prepare for the course
  • help delegates to explore areas for development
  • give structure to some exercises
  • start the development process
