Assessment: Assessment and Reporting Arrangements at the End of Key Stage 1: what every teacher needs to know
This course sets out the statutory requirements for assessment of, and reporting on, pupils' achievements at the end of Key Stage 1 (KS1) in 2019/20. It is primarily aimed at teachers in Year 2 and/or Year 1, although teachers in Years 3 and 4 would also benefit. It is suitable for both experienced teachers and those new to the profession, or new to KS1.
The course will cover:
key changes for 2019/20
approaches to effective assessment
standardisation and moderation (both formal and informal)
administration of, and preparation for, the end of KS1 tests and the phonics screening check
analysis of past end of KS1 test papers
strategies and approaches to ensuring the best outcomes for all pupils.
Headteachers are invited to attend the first morning session, free of charge, with their teachers to ensure that key messages are clear and consistent across the school.

Child Protection : Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) Training - Initial Training for Schools (EVENT FULL)
This course provides essential information, guidance and professional development for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
This 2 day training programme will provide staff with the skills, knowledge and understanding to undertake the role within an educational setting, ensuring compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2019, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 as well as locally developed guidance and documentation.
In order to gain your certificate you must attend both days training, however you may start in the role of DSL after completion of the first day.
