These FREE interactive events aim to support Year 6 teachers to identify gaps in their pupils' writing and develop strategies to move them forward effectively. There will be opportunities to share good practice and effective assessment approaches between schools and teachers will be supported to develop their pedagogy and practice. The sessions will be facilitated by trained moderators and supported by colleagues from the Local Authority. The aim is that all primary and junior schools will send at least one Year 6 teacher to one of these new, supportive events.Essential Information
This course aims to provide new Finance Assistants, Bursars and Business Managers an understanding of FMS and how to apply this to daily procedures, i.e. purchase orders, processing deliveries, recording and paying invoices with BACs or cheques, etc. We recommend that new Bursars and Business Managers attend both day 1 and day 2.

Participants will be introduced to a new set of practice principles that have been designed by East Sussex practitioners and consider how to integrate holding difficult conversations with families with Solution Focus and Motivational Interviewing techniques.

This course will provide an introduction to working with young people who exhibit self harming behaviours. It will explore the reasons for self harming and provide an understanding of mental health issues associated with self harming. It will also introduce participants to the East Sussex Multi-Agency Self Harm protocol.
