This 12 hours course in a live interactive virtual classroom will give you a practical understanding of Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills and principles. When used, these tools aim to strengthen somebody’s motivation and confidence, to promote positive change within them and to help develop the skills to cope with life challenges. MI is a short term goal-oriented strengths-based approaches.

A networking session for Safeguarding Link Governors facilitated by the Safeguarding Support and Intervention Manager. The session aims to update safeguarding link governors on recent local and national issues and to give governors the opportunity to network with other governors and raise any queries, concerns or issues they may have.

• Do you care for children who struggle to engage and can find it hard to keep to agreed boundaries?
• Is this causing a barrier to their success and difficulty to those around them at home and at school?
• Have you tried different strategies but not yet found one that really makes a sustainable difference?

This is an eight week course running from 10:30 to 12:30 on Fridays between April 22nd and July 1st 2022
