Code: CWB138 CSA: Female Sexual Abuse

This course will introduce participants to the current thinking, research and theory in relation to female sexual abuse, both in terms of perpetrator profiles and the impact on victims. Consideration of the obstacles that professional’s face in recognising and responding to female sexual abuse will be given throughout the session.

You will need to have undertaken the Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) e-learning prior to coming on this course (see additional information under full details).

They are attended by carers who have a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise which they have accumulated through many years in fostering. The support group can offer an opportunity to share experiences and provide invaluable support to each other. Some of the support groups will have designated speakers to share information or address a training need.

This conference aims to share best practice in relation to safeguarding provision in schools. A range of speakers and workshops will showcase approaches to improving provision in schools and responding to local and national priorities such as neglect, mental health and emotional wellbeing, and online safety.

Safeguarding is everybody’s business; the conference will support school leaders in improving safeguarding provision, keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with the latest legislation and frameworks, and providing access to a range of examples of best and innovative practice across a range of challenging agendas.

Code: CWB153 Risk Assessment and Analysis

This is a one day externally delivered course to support practitioners to undertake high quality child centred assessments that are informed by evidence and focused on achieving best outcomes for children. Delegates are also expected to attend an in-house half day follow up workshop with the Principal Social Worker, Nicola McGeown, to explore how they have applied the learning in practice. There are two follow up sessions available: course code CWB143 on 6 February 2018 and CWB146 on 24 April 2018. Delegates should book a place on one of these sessions via the Learning Portal.

SharePoint is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the SharePoint platform.
This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses Sharepoint libraries to store team information and who has not used Sharepoint before. The course will also cover managing your own Onedrive site used for storing personal documentation.
