Code: EYCP813 EYFS : Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) Training for Childcare Settings - Refresher Training (Virtual) (EVENT FULL)

This virtual classroom course delivered via Zoom will update the knowledge of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), including childminders, with the aim of renewing their DSL certificate (valid for 2 years). The course will facilitate achieving excellence in Child Protection and Safeguarding by giving tools to embed this into an organisation’s culture.

Please ensure that you are familiar with the course materials attached to your booking confirmation before the course.

There is an expectation that as the DSL you know the signs, indicators and pre-disposing risk factors of abuse. If you are unsure of these please ensure you access the online safeguarding children and young people course before you attend this training. This workshop is for the person responsible for completing the EYFS statutory progress check at age two in an EYFS setting (2 year lead).

This course is for you if you are new to the role or would benefit from a refresher on the IPR process. There will be a run through of the procedure and an opportunity to ask questions.

Code: AS964 Assessment : New to Year 2 2021-2022

This is a bespoke programme of support for newly qualified teachers (NQTs) or teachers new to teaching in year 2, including any teachers who may have taught in year 2 prior to the introduction of the new curriculum in September 2015.

Through a series of meetings across the year, teachers will receive guidance and targeted training, as well as individual support from an experienced county moderator. 

Teachers who sign up for the programme will receive: five half day training sessions (three virtual and two face-to-face) and in-school and/or virtual support from an East Sussex county moderator who will provide individual coaching and mentoring.
