EYFS : Teaching Assistant Training - Effective Interactions and Observations in the EYFS
This 2 x half day course aims to support teaching assistants in understanding the impact of high quality interactions on young children's learning and how these, along with effective observations, support assessment in the EYFS.
Delegates will have the opportunity to consider and discuss what makes a high quality interaction; what makes an effective observation; the merits of long and short observations and the importance of 'pupil and parent voice'.
There will be opportunities for delegates to practise and hone their acquired skills in school between sessions and to bring some of their observations to the second session to share, discuss and refine.
Increase the enjoyment and achievement of pupils and teachers through an exciting and innovative approach to the teaching of grammar.
Grammar for Choice puts the teaching of grammar in the context of reading real texts and writing. It helps children develop an understanding that their choice of Grammar and use of vocabulary, result in a change of emphasis and impact in their writing.
Through a mix of evidence-based practical guidance for teachers, this course will help demystify the process of writing, developing teachers’ ability to show children how writing works.
