This online workshop is intended to provide staff with the knowledge and skills to effectively respond to telephone calls from service users where the potential for conflict exists. Such situations may include incidents where service users use abusive or aggressive language, or in extreme cases resort to threats. The focus of the course will be on strategies to manage the call and the effective use of defusing & resolving techniques.
This live interactive virtual classroom training reviews child and adolescent development including the neuroscience specific to this group. An overview of influencing factors which impacts on child development will be examined including genetic, environmental, cultural and social factors, parenting styles, physical or emotional difficulty and resilience. This workshop is relevant for all practitioners working with families antenatally or families with children and young people.

This live interactive virtual classroom, delivered through Microsoft Teams provides essential information, guidance and professional development for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
This 2-day training programme will provide staff with the skills, knowledge and understanding to undertake the role within an educational setting, ensuring compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2019, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 as well as locally developed guidance and documentation.
In order to gain your certificate, you must attend both days training, however you may start in the role of DSL after completion of the first day.

This live interactive virtual classroom is a professional level workshop that provides an insight into the lives of trans and gender questioning children and young people, as well as gaining information on trans identities more generally.
The course aims to increase practitioners confidence in supporting young trans people to develop a strong sense of identity in the face of marginalisation. You will learn practical ways to make our services more safe and inclusive.

This course will address gang crime and youth violence.
