Code: CWB207 CSA: Working with Non-abusing Parents/Carers in Cases of Child Sexual Abuse

Non-abusing parents/carers are often the forgotten victims in cases of child sexual abuse (CSA). They are often judged harshly and are quickly labelled as ‘failing to protect’. Non-abusing partners play a significant role in keeping their children safe and, where their own child has been abused, supporting their child through the trauma they have experienced. This training will consider the position of the non-abusing parent/carer and how best we can engage them in recognising risk in order that they can protect their children.

Important note: You will need to have undertaken the Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) e-learning prior to coming on this course (see additional information under full details).
