This webinar aims to support teachers to make effective and accurate ongoing assessments of reading in Key Stage 2.

We will unpick the reading strands in detail and share top tips on how to prepare pupils for the rigors of the national curriculum test.

We will also be exploring how to explicitly teach reading skills, how to identify and address gaps, and how to move pupils forward in their reading, ensuring the best possible outcomes by the end of the key stage.

NOTE: Although this webinar is primarily aimed at teachers in years 5 and 6, teachers in years 3 and 4 will also find it useful. The webinar is suitable for teachers at all levels of experience.

Overview

Even though we encounter change constantly it can still be a challenging and disruptive experience. In this workshop we will look at the human side of change i.e. the neuroscience and psychology underpinning how we perceive and react to change in the external environment. By better understanding key brain processes, strengths and limitations we can improve our experience of change and know how to make it more positive and successful – for both ourselves and for others.
