This is a live interactive virtual classroom, delivered through Microsoft Teams.

This new session is intended to help attendees understand the key information security issues affecting schools and look at ways to minimise these risks.

It will also draw upon real examples taken from local schools to ensure that the content is as appropriate and specific as possible.

Experienced Information Governance Officers will also be available through the online chat function to provide advice and support throughout the session.

These sessions will be run online using Microsoft Teams, however you do not need to have this software installed in order to take part. The sessions will be accessible through a hyperlink, which will be emailed out to all participants before the event and can therefore be accessed on any device with internet access, either through a web browser or through Teams itself.

This face to face classroom course, will enable participants to:

• have a better understanding of child sexual abuse including the legal context
• develop a better understanding of the signs and indicators of child sexual abuse
• consider factors that make children and their families vulnerable to sexually abusive behaviour
• have a better understanding of how they can manage disclosures of child sexual abuse
• what is Child Sexual Abuse.

Important note: You will need to have undertaken the Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) Module 1 & Module 2 e-learning, and also the Safeguarding Children and Young People  e-learning prior to coming on this course (see additional information under full details) or you may be turned away.

This workshop aims to provide approved foster carers with an opportunity and safe space to have open conversations on how to care for children from Minoritised racial or cultural backgrounds, as well as working with children in care from white backgrounds to become anti-racist allys.

This networking session will bring together Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing governors to discuss talk and share about issues relating to mental health and emotional wellbeing in their schools. Governors will also find out about other training opportunities and can request that the session covers topics related to their school.

As a new governor, you might be wondering how to start getting involved with the work of your governing board.

Induction is essential for all new governors to help understand their roles and responsibilities and effective boards should encourage everyone involved in governance, especially those new to the role, to make the most of the resources, guidance and training available to develop their knowledge and skills. Good induction can provide strategies and the basic knowledge to enable new governors to take an active role and make a
positive difference right from the start.

In a world where the education system and the expectation on governance is changing, existing governors wishing to update their governance may also find attendance beneficial.

On completion of the course, learners will have an understanding of Legionnaire’s Disease and why it is important to manage their hot and cold water systems.

The course will also provide information on the current legislative requirements to enable compliance.
