Code: AS667 Assessment : Year 6 Assessment and Reporting Arrangements Training for Newly Qualified Teachers or Teachers New to Year 6

This course will inform schools of the statutory arrangements for assessment and reporting in 2018 for Year 6.
Delegates will engage in standardisation and moderation of writing, become familiar with the structure and format of the Year 6 mathematics, reading and grammar tests, discuss implications for the classroom, and share good practice in terms of on-going assessment and strategies for gathering evidence of achievement.


This event is specifically aimed at newly qualified teachers or those new to teaching in Year 6.

One of the key responsibilities for governing boards is "Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of

Code: CWB127A-H Parenting Assessments - A Holistic Approach

This course aims to provide social workers with the tools and research that they need to undertake parenting assessments within the Court setting. The focus will include domestic abuse, mental ill health, problematic drug and alcohol use, learning disability, child’s needs assessment and sexual risk.  There will be pre-reading before each session, and from session two, one participant each session will need to present a case for discussion using a peer supervision model.
