This live interactive virtual classroom, delivered through Microsoft Teams provides essential information, guidance and professional development for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
This 2-day training programme will provide staff with the skills, knowledge and understanding to undertake the role within an educational setting, ensuring compliance with the latest additions of Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children, as well as locally developed guidance and documentation.
In order to gain your certificate, you must attend both days training, however you may start in the role of DSL after completion of the first day.

This important multi-agency course is being presented by a very experienced external trainer, who has worked closely with local authorities and police forces to combat these behaviours and can bring personal knowledge to this training event. The sessions are spread over four hour time frame with time for breaks.
This course will raise your awareness of Honour Based Abuse and Forced Marriage and the impact on victims/children. Topics covered will include identification, assessment and reporting processes to support professionals in their safeguarding role.

This virtual classroom course delivered via Zoom will explain the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and to give practitioners the skills to undertake the role within a childcare setting. The course facilitates achieving excellence in Child Protection and Safeguarding by giving tools to embed this into an establishment's organisational culture.

There is an expectation that as the DSL you know the signs, indicators and pre-disposing risk factors of abuse. If you are unsure of these please ensure you access the online safeguarding children and young people course before you attend this training. If you have already attended this training and need to update your training you must attend the EYFS: Designated Safeguarding Leads Training for Childcare Settings – Refresher Training. The refresher course has been reviewed to support experienced DSL's who have attended the initial training. LCS Search and View is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Children’s Liquid Logic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate Liquid Logic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned images held within ECaseFile.
This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses LCS or EHM whether to view client data or input data into the system.
As a new staff member your manager must request that a Liquid Logic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills.

This live interactive virtual classroom training, delivered over two consecutive half days, will support practitioners to undertake high quality child centred assessments that are informed by evidence and focused on achieving best outcomes for children. Delegates are also expected to attend an in-house half day follow up workshop to explore how they have applied the learning in practice. SharePoint is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the SharePoint platform.
This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses Sharepoint libraries to store team information and who has not used Sharepoint before. The course will also cover managing your own Onedrive site used for storing personal documentation.
