Code: ESC/19/12 First Aid at Work (3 Day) (EVENT FULL)

The First Aid at Work course, covered over 3 days, will qualify you as a First Aider and will enable you to deal with an accident or injury in the workplace. It will qualify you to diagnose a variety of possible illnesses and injuries and will enable you to assess the need to seek further medical attention.

At the end of the course there is a written exam and trainees must demonstrate the skills and knowledge learnt during the course, when there will be some hands on floor work. Trainees will receive a certificate at the end of the course and the qualification lasts for three years.

Code: CWA283 Mental Health: Perspectives on Children and Young People with Mental Health Issues - Professional Level Workshop (EVENT FULL)

This new 1/2 day workshop is part of a themed learning programme focusing on understanding mental health issues Children and Young People might present.

The event is facilitated by Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and Local Safeguarding Children’s Board (LSCB) professionals. It is responding to learning needs identified in this area by a broad range of Children’s Services practitioners working with Children and Young People on Level 3 and 4 on the Continuum of Need. 

This workshop is relevant for all East Sussex children's services practitioners working with children, young people and families assessed as level 3 or 4 on the Continuum of Need and specifically Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and SENCOs from schools and early years providers.

Important note: Participants will need to undertake the Mental Health Foundation Module 3 e-learning prior to attending this course (see additional information under full details).
