This live interactive virtual classroom training reviews child and adolescent development including the neuroscience specific to this group. An overview of influencing factors which impacts on child development will be examined including genetic, environmental, cultural and social factors, parenting styles, physical or emotional difficulty and resilience. This workshop is relevant for all practitioners working with families antenatally or families with children and young people.

This course is open to any member of staff who has supervisory responsibility, or member of staff who is interested in developing their compassionate leadership skills.

Find out how you can adapt your leadership style to help those around you flourish during times of uncertainty. As some staff start to return to the office and others continue to work from home we are all going through another phase of adjustment. If you have supervisory responsibilities, or you work with staff across the organisation, you can support people’s wellbeing by developing your compassionate leadership skills.

Code: SAFE106 Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Super-Network: Afternoon Session (Virtual)

This super network meeting is in addition to the regular DSL networks and is replacing the annual safeguarding conference, which has been cancelled due to COVID-19. The purpose of these meetings is to gather a larger group of people, from a wider range of settings, so that learning and experience can be shared beyond your usual group of colleagues. These extended meetings also allow for a higher level of input from other agencies. There are two events planned, a morning and afternoon session. Both will have identical agendas, so please attend whichever one is most convenient to you. There is no cost for attending these.

This course is delivered using MS Teams. Once you have successfully booked a place on this event, full joining instructions and guidance will be provided nearer the time. Please ensure you block out the time in your calendar until you have received the official MS Teams invite.

This one day training course delivers a comprehensive program, designed to develop participant's understanding of the law, how to achieve compliance and also provide insights on how to create an inclusive workplace and in the services it provides.
