Data Link Governors Session:
Data Link governors are invited to attend this training session, run by SLES and DRIM to discuss the resources available to the governing board and how Data Link governors can use them to analyse school performance and ask challenging questions.
Using Analyse School performance (ASP), the Ofsted Inspection Data Summary Report (IDSR) and Fischer Family Trust (FFT) Aspire to identify strengths and areas for development - an opportunity for delegates to explore their own school data.
The session will briefly outline some headlines from the East Sussex data, then focus upon some key features of these three sources of data analysis. Delegates will then explore their own data and begin considering if current school priorities align with the evidence from performance data.Essential Information
This course will explain the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and to give practitioners the skills to undertake the role within a childcare setting. The course facilitates achieving excellence in Child Protection and Safeguarding by giving tools to embed this into an establishment's organisational culture.
Please ensure you are familiar with the Continuum of Need and the Indicators, the Prevent Duty guidance and Information on British Values, all attached for your information.
There is an expectation that as the DSL you know the signs, indicators and pre-disposing risk factors of abuse. If you are unsure of these please ensure you access the online safeguarding children course before you attend this training. If you have already attended this training and need to update your training you must attend the EYFS: Designated Safeguarding Leads Training for Childcare Settings – Refresher Training. The refresher course has been reviewed to support experienced DSL's who have attended the initial training. This initial course is specifically designed to meet the needs of new DSL's.Essential Information

Delegates will explore the difference between leadership and management and how to be effective at both. This is an annual update to inform attendees of any new processes, procedures and information in terms of current issues and funding
news. It is a great opportunity to network with colleagues, raise any queries and discuss current working practices.
This is a support group to provide male carers an opportunity to meet other male foster carers. Discussions will address the importance of their role within the care of looked after children. To highlight the key areas that men can influence, how they can influence and why it is important for looked after children to see a positive male role model.
LCS Search and View is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Children’s Liquid Logic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate Liquid Logic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned images held within ECaseFile.
This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses LCS or EHM whether to view client data or input data into the system.
As a new staff member your manager must request that a Liquid Logic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills.
