Code: CWA225AB Adopting a Whole Family Approach to Domestic Abuse and Promoting Safety - Professional Level Workshop

This popular course is essential for practitioners from Children's Services and Adult Social Care, education, early help, the police and health, to review, update and consolidate core knowledge about domestic abuse. 

This two day ‘professional level’ workshop is part of the domestic abuse thematic learning pathway and will give an overarching and updated view on current research, theory and practice in the field. It is relevant for all East Sussex children's services practitioners working with children, young people and families assessed as level 3 or 4 on the Continuum of Need.

This two part course aims to support teaching assistants in understanding the impact of high quality interactions on young children's learning and how these, along with effective observations, support assessment in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Delegates will have the opportunity to consider and discuss what makes a high quality interaction, what makes an effective observation, the merits of long and short observations and the importance of 'pupil and parent voice'. There will be opportunities for delegates to practise and hone their acquired skills in school between sessions and to bring some of their observations to the second session to share, discuss and refine.

LCS Search and View is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Children’s Liquid Logic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate Liquid Logic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned images held within ECaseFile. 

This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses LCS or EHM whether to view client data or input data into the system. 

As a new staff member your manager must request that a Liquid Logic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills. 

You must complete this training in order to be able to access the LIVE system. The trainer will activate your account on attendance.
