This course is for you if you are familiar with entering formulas and analysing data in Excel and want to write code to automate Excel tasks, such as formatting a report and performing operations which can not be done using conventional Excel commands.
LSCB : Identifying Sexual Abuse Of Children (EVENT FULL)
The aim of the course is to help participants:
have a better understanding of child sexual abuse including the legal context
develop a better understanding of the signs and indicators of child sexual abuse
consider factors that make children and their families vulnerable to sexually abusive behaviour
have a better understanding of how they can manage disclosures of child sexual abuse
what is Child Sexual Abuse.
Important note: You will need to have undertaken the Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) Module 1 & Module 2 e-learning, and also the Safeguarding Children e-learning prior to coming on this course (see additional information under full details) or you may be turned away.
LSCB : Managing Allegations Against Staff - For Early Years Providers (Cancelled)
On this course participants will look at methods to effectively manage the process of an allegation against a colleague or themselves. This training is only aimed at Early Years professionals who will be directly involved in The Managing Allegations process and who have a relevant need to investigate. For example all Designated Safeguarding Leads ( DSLs) that would be responsible for managing allegations – it could also be relevant for owners and committee representatives responsible for oversight of an Early Years setting, and childminders.

Safeguarding Children in Education: Refresher Safeguarding Governors Responsibilities
East Sussex Children’s Service and the East Sussex Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) has set an expectation that the named safeguarding link governors attend, prior to or shortly after appointment, in-depth face to face training delivered by the East Sussex Governor and Clerking Services which will be updated every three years.
This session will provide safeguarding link governors with a refresher of the knowledge of how to work effectively with the school’s designated safeguarding lead (DSL) and ensure the governing body's responsibilities are being met.
