Code: ESC/19/108 First Aid at Work (3 Day)

The First Aid at Work course, covered over 3 days, will qualify you as a First Aider and will enable you to deal with an accident or injury in the workplace. It will qualify you to diagnose a variety of possible illnesses and injuries and will enable you to assess the need to seek further medical attention.

At the end of the course there is a written exam and trainees must demonstrate the skills and knowledge learnt during the course, when there will be some hands on floor work. Trainees will receive a certificate at the end of the course and the qualification lasts for three years.

This course aims to provide new Finance Assistants, Bursars and Business Managers an understanding of FMS and how to apply this to daily procedures, i.e. purchase orders, processing deliveries, recording and paying invoices with BACs or cheques, etc. We recommend that new Bursars and Business Managers attend both day 1 and day 2.

Code: CWB212A-G Parenting Assessments - A Holistic Approach

This course aims to provide social workers with the tools and research that they need to undertake parenting assessments within the Court setting. The focus will include domestic abuse, mental ill health, problematic drug and alcohol use, learning disability, child’s needs assessment and sexual risk.  There will be pre-reading before each session, and from session two, one participant each session will need to present a case for discussion using a peer supervision model.

Code: TS014A-D Teaching and Learning : Middle Leader Development Programme

A programme for new, experienced or aspiring middle leaders of any phase to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge of leadership practice. Participants conduct inter-sessional tasks to support and develop practice. Rother and Rye EIP schools please note that you can reclaim the programme fee in full.

The facilitators are excellent middle and senior leaders from the primary and secondary phases.
