Code: LSC688 ESSCP: Child Criminal Exploitation and Child Sexual Exploitation - Working with Young People at Risk (Virtual) (EVENT FULL)

The course will enable participants to work directly with children and young people who are experiencing or are at risk of criminal and/or sexual exploitation. We will also look at how the community, professionals and children and young people themselves often respond differently to boys when it comes to child sexual exploitation and what we can do about this.

This live and interactive course will be delivered using Zoom. Full joining instructions, including downloadable links to access the training and guidance will be attached to the bottom of your confirmation email once you have booked a place. Please ensure you read these prior to the course start date and keep them in a safe place.

Within the Joining Instructions is also a link to a pre-course survey that you should complete by 24 March at the latest.

Important note: It is essential that you have undertaken the Safeguarding Children (or an equivalent Safeguarding/ Child Protection Awareness course within your own organisation, and Child Sexual Exploitation e-learning courses prior to coming on this course, see Additional Information for full details), or you may be turned away.

Code: LSC687 ESSCP: Identifying Sexual Abuse Of Children (Virtual)

This live interactive virtual classroom, delivered through Microsoft Teams will enable participants to:

  • have a better understanding of child sexual abuse including the legal context
  • develop a better understanding of the signs and indicators of child sexual abuse
  • consider factors that make children and their families vulnerable to sexually abusive behaviour
  • have a better understanding of how they can manage disclosures of child sexual abuse
  • what is Child Sexual Abuse.

Important note: You will need to have undertaken the Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) Module 1 & Module 2 e-learning, and also the Safeguarding Children e-learning prior to coming on this course (see additional information under full details) or you may be turned away.

EYES Search and View is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Childrens ISEND Liquid Logic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate Liquid Logic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned images held within ECaseFile

This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses EYES whether to view client data or input data into the system

As a new staff member your manager must request that a Liquid Logic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills.

You must complete this training in order to be able to access the LIVE system. The trainer will activate your account on attendance.

Code: SRL02 A-F Sexual Risk Leads Programme for Schools (Virtual) (EVENT FULL)

Schools experience significant challenges in responding to and managing incidents of peer on peer harmful sexual behaviour; managing and reducing concerns in relation to child sexual exploitation and responding to and supporting children and young people who have been affected by sexual abuse. This training will support delegates to develop their knowledge of how to support children and young people affected by such issues and how to manage any identified risks.
