Assessment : Assessment and Reporting Arrangements Training for Year 6 Teachers
This course will inform teachers of the statutory arrangements for end of Key Stage 2 assessment and reporting in 2018. Delegates will engage in standardisation and moderation of writing, discuss the 2017 Year 6 national curriculum tests, consider the implications for the classroom, and share good practice in terms of on-going assessment and strategies for gathering evidence of achievement.
Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (1 Day) (EVENT FULL)
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is covered over 6 hours. It provides an excellent introduction to the basic principles of First Aid, and trains you to take control of a first aid situation in the workplace in the absence of a fully trained First Aider (see First Aid at Work).
Parenting Assessments - A Holistic Approach
This course aims to provide social workers with the tools and research that they need to undertake parenting assessments within the Court setting. The focus will include domestic abuse, mental ill health, problematic drug and alcohol use, learning disability, child’s needs assessment and sexual risk. There will be pre-reading before each session, and from session two, one participant each session will need to present a case for discussion using a peer supervision model.
Single Central Record (SCR) - for those in school who maintain and audit the SCR
This training is aimed at those who maintain the Single Central Record (SCR); Bursars, Business Managers, Office Administration, Headteachers, Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) and Safeguarding Lead Governors, to ensure compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education and safer recruitment guidance. There will be opportunity to consider each column/section of the SCR with opportunity for questions and queries. We will also consider the responsibilities of the Headteacher, Safeguarding Lead Governor and Designated Safeguarding Lead in ensuring compliance. Please note current HR guidance is only available to schools that have bought into their service.
