EYFS : Practitioner Child Protection Training for Childcare Settings
This course provides participants with the knowledge that will enable them to identify signs and indicators of abuse and their responsibilities in terms of responding to and highlighting any concerns, appropriately using East Sussex County Council procedures. It will also discuss the wider safeguarding role and discuss how to identify children and families who require an Early Help Plan and where to get the appropriate help and advice.
This course is NOT suitable for Registered Childminders and Designated Safeguarding Leads. Please attend either the "Designated Safeguarding Leads Training for Childcare Settings" or "Designated Safeguarding Leads Training for Childcare Settings – Refresher training" as applicable. Child Protection : Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) Training - Initial Training for Schools
This course provides essential information, guidance and professional development for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
This 2 day training programme will provide staff with the skills, knowledge and understanding to undertake the role within an educational setting, ensuring compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2018, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015 as well as locally developed guidance and documentation.
In order to gain your certificate you must attend both days training, however you may start in the role of DSL after completion of the first day.
