This course will update the knowledge of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), including childminders, with the aim of renewing their DSL certificate (valid for 2 years). The course will facilitate achieving excellence in Child Protection and Safeguarding by giving tools to embed this into an organisation’s culture.

There is an expectation that as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) you know the signs, indicators and pre-disposing risk factors of abuse. If you are unsure of these please ensure you access the online safeguarding children and young people course before you attend this training. This 1 day interactive workshop will introduce delegates to the core skills they require to manage projects. It is case-study based with attendees working in groups to deliver worked examples of the tools and techniques provided.

This session is open to any member of staff who has supervisory responsibility, or member of staff who is interested in developing their remote team management skills.
As some staff start to return to the office and others continue to work from home we are all going through another phase of adjustment.
If you have supervisory responsibilities you will face additional challenges in bringing the team together to work productively with each other.
