This course will provide basic information and guidance for practitioners in early years settings, pre-registration childminders, new childminders, childminding assistants and new committee members on how to meet statutory requirements of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and develop good practice.

It will include practical activities and an opportunity to explore different aspects of the role of the practitioner.

This course is to support practitioners in ensuring there is appropriate provision for children who are working within 40-60 months in order for them to attain the early learning goal in reading , writing and maths. It will provide opportunities to discuss the provision, interactions and interventions needed to support those children in order for them to achieve the Early Learning Goal and explore the evidence required to support an expected judgement.

Over the course of this half day workshop you will learn about the law in relation to sexual consent. We will break down the definition and use case studies to explore what having the freedom and capacity to consent means. We will look at the rights and responsibilities of individuals engaging in sexual activity and ways in which you can discuss these issues with children and young people by looking at practical tools and resources.
