Code: CWA477-FUP2 Anti-Racist and Inclusive Practice in Recruitment Reflective Workshop (Virtual)

This is a live interactive virtual classroom, delivered via Zoom and Microsoft Teams. This session is only available to invited staff, involved in the recruitment of Social Workers.

This session is split into two halves, the first a 90 minute reflective session, delivered via Zoom by Amber & Greene, and designed as part of the Anti-Racist and Inclusive Practice in Recruitment course. It's aim is to build awareness and provide the underpinning knowledge, skills and confidence to enable recruitment panel members to engage collaboratively in anti-racist and inclusive practice during interviews of prospective social work students.

This session features a refresher on the original course, signposting to further resources, a chance to reflect on what staff have changed and support with action planning for the future, and a Q and A session.

The second half of the session is an hour long review of the recruitment process with Nicola McGeown via Microsoft Teams, the aim of which is to ensure ideas to improve the recruitment process can be captured.

Please see "Additional Information" via the Full details tab for joining instructions.

Code: CWB456A-C Attachment Based Practice with Families, Part 1- infancy, early childhood and the school years (Virtual)

This live interactive virtual course, delivered over three days via Teams, forms the foundation level of a programme of training on 'Attachment Based Practice with Families'. Practitioners who have attended the previous Application of Attachment Theory course are eligible to book directly on to the second part of the programme: 'Attachment Based Practice with Families, Part 2 - Adolescence, Adulthood and the Family System'.

This Part 1 course focuses on infancy and early childhood, moving up to the school years. It introduces contemporary attachment theory, its links with child development, neurobiology and the emerging field of narrative medicine. The latter part of the training day is set aside for independent study.

Attachment theory is essential for understanding how human beings function in relationships and how people develop social and psychological difficulties. It is also fundamental for understanding what constitutes psychological wellbeing.

Important note: The trainer will contact participants in advance of the training to provide them with the Teams link for joining the course. Please see "Additional Information" via the “Full details” tab for further details.
