EYFS : Practitioner Child Protection Training for Childcare Settings
This course provides participants with the knowledge that will enable them to identify signs and indicators of abuse and their responsibilities in terms of responding to and highlighting any concerns, appropriately using East Sussex County Council procedures. It will also discuss the wider safeguarding role and discuss how to identify children and families who require an Early Help Plan and where to get the appropriate help and advice.
First Aid at Work Recertification (EVENT FULL)
This course will re-qualify you as a First Aider in the workplace. The course is for those who wish to renew their First Aid at Work qualification. First aiders should attend the training up to 3 months before the expiry date of their certificate or within 28 days of the expiry date. The new certificate will then take effect from the date of expiry.
Anyone unable to renew their qualification during that period will need to attend a full First Aid at Work 18 hour course.
This course aims to familiarise Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT) Induction Tutors and Mentors with the important role of fulfilling statutory requirements and supporting NQTs through their induction year.
Please note this is a repeat of the sessions held in term 1 for those who were unable to attend.
This is a one day externally delivered course to support practitioners to undertake high quality child centred assessments that are informed by evidence and focused on achieving best outcomes for children. Delegates are also expected to attend an in-house half day follow up workshop with the Principal Social Worker, Nicola McGeown, to explore how they have applied the learning in practice. There are two follow up sessions available: course code CWB143 on 6 February 2018 and CWB146 on 24 April 2018. Delegates should book a place on one of these sessions via the Learning Portal.
