This live interactive virtual course, delivered over three days via Teams, forms the foundation level of a programme of training on 'Attachment Based Practice with Families'. Practitioners who have attended the previous Application of Attachment Theory course are eligible to book directly on to the second part of the programme: 'Attachment Based Practice with Families, Part 2 - Adolescence, Adulthood and the Family System'.
This Part 1 course focuses on infancy and early childhood, moving up to the school years. It introduces contemporary attachment theory, its links with child development, neurobiology and the emerging field of narrative medicine. The latter part of the training day is set aside for independent study.
Attachment theory is essential for understanding how human beings function in relationships and how people develop social and psychological difficulties. It is also fundamental for understanding what constitutes psychological wellbeing.

ISEND - EYES Search and Viewing only
EYES Search and View is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Childrens ISEND Liquid Logic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate Liquid Logic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned images held within ECaseFile
This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses EYES whether to view client data or input data into the system
As a new staff member your manager must request that a Liquid Logic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills.
You must complete this training in order to be able to access the LIVE system. The trainer will activate your account on attendance.Essential Information
The First Aid at Work course, covered over 3 days, will qualify you as a First Aider and will enable you to deal with an accident or injury in the workplace. It will qualify you to diagnose a variety of possible illnesses and injuries and will enable you to assess the need to seek further medical attention.
At the end of the course there is a written exam and trainees must demonstrate the skills and knowledge learnt during the course, when there will be some hands on floor work.
This will include demonstration of delegates' CPR skills, including chest compressions. Please note that if you ae unable for any reason to demonstrate those skills to a satisfactory degree you will not be able to pass the course and you will not receive a certificate.
Trainees will receive a certificate at the end of the course and the qualification lasts for three years.
FAW or EFAW certificates that expired after 16 March 2020 can remain valid until 31 October 2020 or 6 months from date of expiry, whichever is later. All requalification training for these certificates should be completed by 31 March 2021. If you do not requalify before 31st March 2021, you will need to take the full 3 day First Aid course to requalify as a First Aider.Essential Information

This is an advanced half day Children’s Workforce workshop for Health Visitors, Community Nursery Nurses and other interested 0-5s and 5-19s practitioners, who should access when relevant to their caseload.
It provides an opportunity to learn about the significance of mental health within the perinatal period; the impact it has on the mother, infant, family and society; and why all service providers should be aware of perinatal mental health and know how to respond.
