This course aims to develop specialist knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). It enables reception teachers to ensure that their provision is of high quality and that it meets the needs of their class.
It will support delegates to understand the principles of the EYFS including how to plan and organise an appropriate learning environment and how to develop effective systems for observation, assessment, planning and evaluation across all areas of learning.
There is an initial 2 hour introductory session in the summer on EYFS statutory requirements and the environment, followed by a 4 day course starting in the autumn term.
Please note: the introductory session will still be offered prior to the first session if your school signs up for the course after the July session has run.
